Purposes

This position will help The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints with its mission to bring souls unto Christ by working with the Total Rewards team in the Human Resource Department. The incumbent will assist the Total Rewards team in managing Compensation, Benefits and Mobility for Church employees globally. The individual will need to work efficiently with limited supervision and competing priorities.

This 12-month, paid internship is up to 40 hours a week. Standard business hours are 8a-5p. Position is located at the Church Office Building in downtown Salt Lake City. This position is designed to provide you, a student or recent graduate, with hands-on human resource experiences in Compensation, Benefits, and Mobility working with the Total Rewards Team of the Human Resource Department, while making a tremendous contribution in building the kingdom of God.

Responsibilities

• Market Data research
• Employee data analysis
• Drafting proposals for new international benefits
• Auditing promotion submissions
• Preparing for Job Evaluations and updating applicable systems
• New Hire orientation and Open Enrollment preparation for US employees
• Assisting in communication planning
• Reviewing reports for errors
• Updating and managing the employee discount page
• Other responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications

           Currently enrolled in a college or university or a recent graduate within previous 12-month period

• Pursuing a degree in HR or business-related field
• Knowledge of compensation, benefits, or general Human Resource administration is a plus
• Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, Power Point and Outlook email
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent data management skills and familiarity with databases and queries
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Spanish or other non-English language proficiency a plus

Worthiness Qualification

Must be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and currently temple worthy.
